Learn About Correct Power Generator Sizing

Why is it important? It’s because having the wrong power generator sizing can eventually lead to mechanical failure which translates to added costs for you. The system will also not be as fuel efficient, again, resulting in additional expense. To learn the basics about this topic, check out these slides.

  1. The Importance of Correct Power Generator Sizing

  2. It's important to correctly size your generator for a few reasons. When choosing a generator, it’s important to neither oversize or undersize a generator. Firstly, fuel consumption. The bigger the generator, the more fuel consumption, the higher the cost. If the load is too low, this may cause long-term mechanical issues to your generator, and of course, an undersized generator will not fulfill your requirements at your plant. When choosing a generator, you need to provide us with as much information as possible in order that the correct size generator can be supplied to your plant.

  3. IN THIS VIDEO: CAPS Sales Manager Peter Zenonos explains the disadvantages of oversized and undersized generators.
