The plants would have a capacity of 1,259 MLD and have an expectancy to be completed by June, 2023 When finished, it will have the highest rate of 100% sewage treatment of any major city in the country. At a cost of 298 crore, a second 129-km sewer network project covering the Karwan and Nampally constituencies has been taken up. Adoption Of New Water Projects The Godavari and Krishna rivers supply the capital with water through the Ramagundam project and the Sunkishala project, respectively. The government intends to permanently address drinking water issues in Greater Hyderabad and neighboring municipalities by bringing Godavari river water from the Kondapochammasagar and Mallannasagar reservoirs constructed as part of the Kaleshwaram project. A new source augmentation project of Sunkishala is being started at a cost of 2,214 crore to supplement about 40,000 million cubic (TMC) feet, to be drawn in phases, in order to meet the current drinking water requirements and is expected to be completed by June 2023. The 1,200 crore water supply network project for the Outer Ring Road (ORR) ULBs is also scheduled to be finished in June 2023. After completion, the project, which involves installing a 2,800 km pipeline network, is anticipated to help 10 lakh people. Creation Of A 23-km cycle track In Kokapet, a 23-km cycle track with a solar roof covering 21 km will cost 95 crores and have a 16 MW capacity. The track would isolate cyclists from regular traffic and ensure their safety while protecting them from the sun, rain, and other harsh weather conditions. Other facilities, according to him, include 24-hour lighting, food courts, security cameras, drinking water, and bicycle repair shops next to the track.
