  10. The project team proposes the following contracts: • YBI Building Demolition(R/W) • a contract to remove three USCG buildings and one state building executed as a right-of-way service contract

  11. The project team proposes the following contracts: • SAS W2 Structures • a contract to construct the Self-Anchored Suspension bridge land-based foundation, pier W2

  12. The project team proposes the following contracts: • YBI Substation & Viaduct Retrofit • a contract to construct a replacement electrical substation on YBI near the westbound on-ramp and complete relatively simple bridge retrofit work near the YBI tunnel (this work is combined due to the close proximity of the work)

  13. The project team proposes the following contracts: • SAS E2/T1 Structures • a contract to construct the Self-Anchored Suspension bridge in-bay foundations, the main tower (T1) and pier E2 just to the east of YBI

  14. The project team proposes the following contracts: • SAS Superstructures • a contract to construct the tower and superstructure of the Self-Anchored Suspension bridge

  15. The project team proposes the following contracts: • YBI Structures • a contract to construct the temporary detour and permanent bridges on YBI

  16. SAS/YBI Discretization • What in the heck does that mean? • Did you go to the March 12 Contractor Outreach? • At that time, we exhibited information related to a certain project code 04-012064 SAS/YBI

  17. SAS/YBI Discretization • June 11, 2002 letter from Brian Maroney, Project Manager, announced that we were breaking up the project • smaller contracts that focus specific types of construction work create more opportunities for DBE and small business participation

  21. SFOBB East Span • Tonight’s discussions relate to the W2 construction contracts we are planning to advertise for bid this fall and the Division of Right of Way’s service contract

  23. What is the schedule? • We plan to advertise the W2 contract 04-0120C4 in September 2002 • Why do I keep repeating the contract number? • The R/W contract may hit the streets in late August/early September
