  2. Galatians 3:2-5 • I only want to learn this from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law or by hearing with faith? • Are you so foolish? After beginning with the Spirit, are you now going to be made complete by the flesh?

  3. Did you suffer so much for nothing—if in fact it was for nothing? • So then, does God supply you with the Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law or by hearing with faith?

  4. A Supernatural Difference • Jude 1:18-19 “‘In the end time there will be scoffers walking according to their own ungodly desires.’ These people create divisions and are merelynatural, not having the Spirit. • Galatians 3:3 “After beginning with the Spirit, are you now going to be made complete by the flesh?” 1 . >

  5. Inner Empowerment • Ephesians 3:16 “I pray that [God] may grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man” 2 . >

  6. Inner Wholeness Replacing the Damage We Had with the Qualities We Lack • 2nd Timothy 1:7 “For God has not given us a spirit of fearfulness, but one of power, love, and sound judgment.” • Titus 3:5 “He saved us… through the washing of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit.” 3 >

  7. Inner Wholeness Inner Wholeness, Not Outward Appearances • Romans 14:17 “For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.” 3 >

  8. Inner Wholeness Fulfilling the Deepest Needs of Our Hearts • Romans 15:13 “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” • Romans 5:5 “This hope does not disappoint, because God’s love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.” 3 >

  9. Martin Luther This life, therefore, is not righteousness, but growth in righteousness; not health, but healing; not being, but becoming; not rest, but exercise. We are not yet what we shall be, but we are growing toward it. The process is not yet finished, but it is going on. This is not the end, but it is the road. All does not yet gleam in glory, but all is being purified. 3 . >

  10. Transformation on the Inside That Shows on the Outside • Colossians 1:8 “Epaphras… has told us about your love in the Spirit.” • Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, self-control.” 4 >

  11. Transformation on the Inside That Shows on the Outside • 2nd Thessalonians 2:13 “God has chosen you for salvation through sanctificationby the Spiritandthrough belief in the truth.” 4 . .
