  2. MASTER REPAIRABLE ITEM LISTING (MRIL) MAINTENANCE The Master Repairable Item List (MRIL) provides a listing of all repairable assets controlled by the Navy. Optimized IMA enables you to enter additional DOP UIC information to assist you when sending repair parts off station for repair and notifying the appropriate parties of the action.

  4. MASTER REPAIRABLE ITEM LISTING (MRIL) MAINTENANCE Purpose: (1) Establish an MRIL address on the data base for use during DIFM processing of BCM’d assets. (2) Establish addresses for “COPY TO” information if required. System Action: Establishes local MRIL addresses on the data base.

  5. MRIL ADD PATH: From the MRIL menu of the Supply subsystem, click New. The New MRIL UIC Prompt appears. --- In the SVC Cd/UIC box, enter the ID for the DOP UIC to be added. --- Click OK to go to the Basic tab of the MRIL Address window.

  6. MRIL ADD --- Under Address, type the four-line designated overhaul point (DOP) shipping address. --- If you are required to identify the service and activity address to receive material, billing, or status information, type the service UIC in the Sup Add box. --- If it is required on the MRIL shipping document, indicate the signal code in the Sign drop-down list.

  7. MRIL ADD --- If it is required on the shipping document, type the fund code in the F/C box. --- If it is required on the shipping document, select the distribution code from the Dist Cd drop-down list, indicating who monitors requisition status information. Refer to NAVSUP P-485 for code descriptions. --- If it is required on the shipping document, type the project code in the Prj box.

  8. MRIL ADD --- To print IRAM on the first line of the address label for the retrograde shipping document, select the IRAM Indicator check box. --- If applicable, type any DOP remarks in the DOP Remarks boxes.

  9. MRIL ADD NOTE: If IRAM is selected, any remarks entered here appear on the retrograde shipping document as part of the address label. --- To note an inter-service agreement exists whereby one service performs depot level maintenance for another service, type any pertinent information concerning the agreement in the DMISA box, such as the other service involved in the agreement.

  10. MRIL ADD --- Under Local Rmrks, type any additional remarks, such as the specific delivery location within a DOP UIC. --- Click Apply.The MRIL DOP is added to the system. Click for procedures to enter addresses to send copies of the MRIL shipping document to.

  12. MRIL UPDATE / DELETE Purpose: (1) Provide user with update/delete capability for all data except UIC. (2) Provide inquiry capability. System Action: (1) Displays a MRIL record. (2) Updates user selected fields. (3) Deletes a MRIL record.

  13. MRIL UPDATE / DELETE From the MRIL menu on the Supply subsystem, click Search. The MRIL UIC Search Prompt window appears. --- In the SVC Cd/UIC box, type the DOP UIC for the record to be changed. --- Click OK to go to the Basic tab of the MRIL Address window. --- Make changes to the appropriate fields using Field Help (SHIFT + F1) as a guide. --- Click Save. The MRIL DOP information is updated.

  14. MRIL UPDATE / DELETE Changing the “Copy To”From the MRIL menu on the Supply subsystem, click Search. The MRIL UIC Search Prompt window appears. --- In the SVC Cd/UIC box, type the DOP UIC for the record to be changed. --- Click OK to go to the Basic tab of the MRIL Address window. --- Click the Copy To tab.

  15. MRIL UPDATE / DELETE Changing the “Copy To”The MRIL Address Copy Update window appears.---Select the address you want to change and click Update.---Make changes to the address as appropriate.---Click Save.The Copy To address is updated in the MRIL record.
