  • Stupa- a sacred site that houses the remains of a holy person.
  • Reincarnation- the wheel is a symbol of the unending cycle of birth and rebirth.
  • Calligraphy- a form of writing that decorates the wall of the mosques.
  • Ramayana & Mahabharata- Epic poems
  • In the late 1800’s, Afghanistan was a buffer state between Russia and British India.
