On 24th March, we held our Committed to Net Zero event in the LOETB Enterprise Support Hub in Tullamore. The objective of this session was to inform, inspire and support manufacturing SMEs progress their journey to net zero. Based on the feedback from our members, this was clearly achieved! We would sincerely like to thank all our session contributors for their willingness to engage, share and support atim cluster members: Fergus Sharkey - Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI), Kathleen O'Regan Enterprise Ireland, Aoife Beirne Mergon Group, Ashleigh Doyle - CJ Sheeran Timber Packaging & Pallets, Padraic Condron - Grant Engineering ULC, Gary Nugent - Decotek Automotive and Vincent Cleary - Glenisk. We also want to thank Ronan Berry for his professional moderation of the workshop. Finally, thank you to our supporting partners: Novelplast, Chris Mee Group, Irish Manufacturing Research, First Polymer Training Skillnet, Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI), Enterprise Ireland, LOETB Enterprise Support Hub. A key takeaway from the session: the risk of not decarbonising is increasing, so the time to start is now. 5 steps towards a low emission business include (SEAI): - Understand your current energy consumption - Creating an energy action plan - Complete an energy audit - Invest in upgrades and renewable - Monitor, track and report
We are looking forward to supporting atim cluster members with the next steps in their journey to net zero through our services.
