EdIndia Pulse July 2024 - December 2024 | Issue 02 C H H A T T I S G A R H WELCOMING VOLUNTEERS FROM MASTERCARD For Building English Proficiency O R I E N T A T I O N S E S S I O N S & W O R K S H O P S F O R P S T s We hosted orientation sessions for pre-service teachers(PSTs) across 18 districts between October and December 2024. The sessions introduced PSTs to the updated Teachable web app, helping them integrate digital tools in lesson planning and CTET preparations. Additionally, we conducted workshops on topics like ‘How Children Learn’ and ‘Classroom Management’, offering practical teaching strategies to address real- world challenges in the classroom. B U I L D I N G S K I L L S T H R O U G H I N T E R N S H I P S & M O C K T E S T S To provide PSTs with hands-on experience, we facilitated 50 school visits across 48 schools from August to October 2024. The intent was to provide internship mentorship to selected 193 PSTs on how to apply theoretical knowledge in real classrooms. We also conducted four Mock CTET tests between June and December 2024 to help PSTs assess their strengths and areas for improvement, boosting their exam readiness. 0 2
EdIndia Pulse July 2024 - December 2024 | Issue 02 COLLABORATION WITH SAMAGRA SHIKSHA: EMPOWERING 900,000+ STUDENTS We had opportunity to collaborate with Samagra Shiksha on data-driven initiatives like FLN dashboards and PARAKH Readiness Survey (PRS) Mock Tests, engaging over 900,000 generating students valuable and 50,000+ data for schools, improving education in the state of Chhattisgarh. M A H A R A S H T R A COLLABORATION WITH DEPT. OF EDUCATION, MAHARASHTRA We recently collaborated with the Directorate of Education (Scheme), Maharashtra, to evaluate key schemes and scholarships under ourData Analytics Support Program. In a recent orientation session, we introduced the schemes under review, explained the selection criteria, and shared our data collection process with district-level officials. Our focus is to analyse and uncover insights from the projects we are currently working on, such as merit scholarships for economically disadvantaged students and open merit scholarships for junior colleges. These initiatives will help us better understand the challenges on the ground, identify areas for improvement, and enable administrators to make data-driven decisions. IMPROVING SSC BOARD EXAM PREPAREDNESS THROUGH MID-TERM ANALYSIS We analyzed the mid-term exam data of 11,682 of Grade 10 student from 213 schools under the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai. Dashboards prepared by us were used for taking remedial classes, providing on-ground support to teachers to improve the SSC exam preparedness.

These sessions emphasized crucial teaching strategies, including classroom management, questioning techniques, and empathy-based teaching. Pre-service teachers from DIETs and B.Ed. institutions participated in discussions, group exercises, and hands-on activities to enhance their pedagogical skills. The collaborative nature of these events encouraged peer-to-peer learning and equipped participants with practical approaches for effective classroom engagement. S K I L L D E V E L O P M E N T B Y W E B I N A R S & S P E C I A L C O U R S E S A series of monthly webinars, held from July to November 2024, introduced pre-service teachers to topics such as ‘How Children Learn’ and ‘Teaching-Learning Materials Development’. These sessions attracted over 150 participants per event and were complemented by skill-focused courses launched in June 2024. Covering digital literacy, problem-solving, and classroom strategies, these initiatives prepared aspiring educators to meet the challenges of modern teaching environments. I N S T I T U T I O N A L C O L L A B O R A T I O N F O R E N H A N C E D T R A I N I N G In August, we collaborated with DWT College Dehradun, and KLPGDAV College, Roorkee to bring innovative teaching methods to our classrooms. Through signed MoUs, We will support these colleges with digital resources, workshops and competitions to prepare the teachers of the future.
EdIndia Pulse July 2024 - December 2024 | Issue 02 R A J A S T H A N I N S T I T U T I O N A L S T R E N G T H E N I N G F O R R S C E R T & D I E T S We collaborated with RSCERT (Rajasthan State Council of Education Research and Training) to support them in the national pilot program for 'Empowering DIETs as Centre of Excellence' along with IgnusERG Education Resource Pvt. Ltd. and UNICEF India. Through this project, we are expected to indirectly benefit 70+ lakh students through the 1.8 lakh teachers trained through 450+ DIET faculty from the 33 DIETs in Rajasthan! Working together to implement the CoE DIET concept under NEP 2020 and attending the capacity-building training at RSCERT has been a game-changer for my personal & professional growth. I learnt the art of effective communication useful for my facilitation skills. W O R K S H O P S O N P E D A G O G Y A N D I C T T O O L S Across 6 districts of Rajasthan, workshops provided pre- service teachers and 22 DITEs with practical training in Ashish Kant Kaushik Lecturer, DIET Karauli, Rajasthan teaching-learning material development, subject integration, and the use of ICT tools in classrooms. Quizzes and mock tests supplemented these sessions, helping participants consolidate their knowledge & skills. I N S T I T U T I O N A L C O L L A B O R A T I O N S W I T H B . E D . C O L L E G E S 6 B.Ed. colleges across Bikaner, Churu, and Jaipur collaborated with educational bodies to enhance their teacher education programs. Orientation sessions introduced faculty and students to platforms like the Teachable app, promoting self- learning and professional growth.
EdIndia Pulse July 2024 - December 2024 | Issue 02 T R I P U R A PROMOTING ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS & PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT On July 5, 2024, during Van Mahotsav, a tree plantation drive was conducted in schools, engaging over 200 participants, including mothers, teachers, and students. Mothers were further engaged through sessions on July 9 and 12, 2024, where they were oriented about their roles in school development. They later participated in Teachers' Day celebrations on September 5, contributing to activities like gardening, classroom cleaning, & assisting teachers. YOUTH EMPOWERMENT & LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT International Youth Skills Day and World Indigenous Day encouraged students to develop practical skills while preserving cultural heritage. Baal Sabha groups were formed across schools to nurture leadership qualities. These groups, mentored by nodal teachers, conducted local projects and led various school development activities, empowering students to take initiative and lead. I am very happy as I am a member of Baal Sabha, because through this forum I am able to showcase my talent and express myself.
