National Accomplishments 2009-2010 • Filled the R-2 Forest Service NCSS Liaison, MO 6 • USFS Soil Management Manual completed • USFS Soil Management Handbook revision underway • Interagency ESD Manual signed • USFS Ecological Classification Manual revision completed • Incorporates: Interagency ESD Manual, National Hierarchical Framework of Ecological Units, and TEUI Technical Guide • NRIS/NASIS data sharing pilot project underway – Santa Fe NF • TEUI Geospatial Toolkit upgraded for NRCS use • TEUI Implementation Plan underway

The Work Ahead! • Continue to implement the Interagency Accelerated Soil and Terrestrial Ecological Unit Inventory Initiative • Complete the staffing: • Federal lands technical liaisons for correlation and documentation projects • Ecologist positions for ESD development • Streamline NRIS/NASIS data sharing • Complete the population of completed SSA(s) into NASIS • Develop and Implement an Interagency ESD strategy
