  1. Complimenting Your Home's Exterior With a Security Door Keeping your loved ones safe is a top priority for most homeowners. Security doors can keep your family and your home protected. The doors and windows on your home are the most vulnerable points. However, no longer do you have to outfit your house with oversized, harsh bars. Now, security doors can be attention grabbing in an attractive way. There are so many options and ways to customize security doors and windows that any house can be outfitted with coordinating pieces. Security Screen Doors are a visible obstacle- the sight of them can impede any intruders. The doors, windows and gates are made from strong materials like iron and steel. They are not only made to guard, but made to last. Dead bolt locks or multi-point locking systems are just a few of the highly effective security features. They also offer protection in strong mesh coverings that are resistant to knives, and reinforced steel that is resistant to physical attacks, bending or prying. Older homes are especially vulnerable, the doors and windows are just not strong enough to withhold an attack. Although many thought living behind bars was aesthetically unappealing the design of modern security doors, windows and gates has come so far. The function is unmistakable but now they are also attractive and customizable as well. Long gone are the days of gray, heavy metal guarding your entry points. Now security doors, windows and gates come in a variety of styles, finishes and custom qualities. Galvanized steel, aluminum, bronze and fiberglass are your metal options. Galvanized steel doors are very inexpensive but can tear and rip more easily. Aluminum options resist corrosion better than the galvanized doors; however they are not as strong. Bronze doors are the most expensive but they are also the strongest and the most durable. They require a bit of maintenance with a quick varnish each year but this will ensure it stays free from corrosion and it's finish with be long lasting security screen. Fiberglass doors are the most convenient option in that they are very easy to install and can quickly replaces a galvanized steel door. They are also highly resistant to corrosion. Your available style choices can be as varied as you are. They can range from Tuscan, Contemporary, Victorian, Southwest and Traditional, this of course does not even begin to cover customized options. Most options can even be powder coated to match the colors of your home. There are many ways to find security door companies in your area. Local home stores will have a limited inventory of doors and entry options however; buying at a big box store may save you money. Be aware, that you may have to install the door yourself or pay the fee to have it installed. Another way to find local companies is to check the home mailer magazines that show up regularly in your mail box. There may also be discounts if you mention the ad or mailer that you saw. Just be sure to check out the company using the Better Business Bureau to ensure they are reliable. The internet is also a great resource for California Storm Doors. You can find many local companies; look for testimonials or pictures of recent work. And of course word of mouth is always a great option. You can see firsthand the company's work and if you say you're a referral that may also get you a deal on your purchase.
