It will also fill the gap in multiple sectors based on agriculture, industrial, tourism, trade, etc. Benefits of the Ganga Expressway Project ● It will provide better connectivity through the expressway that would further help in the education sector and thus social-well being of people. ● The project is targeted to improve the level of employment in the region. ● Good road connectivity aims to improve the supply chain and influence investment decisions. Key Highlights of the Project ● The total cost of the project is about 41 544 crore, approximately. ● It comes with 6 lanes that will be expandable to 8 lanes. ● The expressway will be expanded up to Ballia in the east & Uttarakhand border in the northwest to acquire approximately 100 km.
● Once both phases are ready, it will provide an uninterrupted run from Delhi to the Bihar border in about 10-11 hours. ● 3.5 km long airship at Shahjahanpur for assisting emergency take-off /landing of Air Force Planes ● Interchange facilities at 17 places for entry & exit on the expressway ● Service roads for the residents of the village around the expressway ● An industrial corridor along the expressway is also proposed to fill a gap in multiple sectors. ● Nearly 18.55 lakh saplings will be planted & solar panels will be installed to ensure environmental protection.
