  1. 4 Things to consider before buying Small Microwave What to look for when buying a small microwave? Power: Watts are the unit of measurement for microwave power, and the higher the wattage, the faster your food will heat up. The majority of small microwaves have 700–800W. Internal Capacity: The internal space in a microwave is measured in litres. Naturally, you can't expect a microwave to be small and compact on the outside and super spacious inside, so be ready to compromise on how much food you can heat up at once. Small compact microwaves have a capacity anywhere between 15L to 20L, which is big enough for a standard-size dinner plate. Size: It is wise to take into account how much room the microwave will require in the kitchen. Ensure that the height will allow enough space for ventilation around it. Controls: It all boils down to personal preference when it comes to controls. Decide on dials if you want the most basic solution possible. The most basic microwaves to use are those that have two dials: setting the time and power. You'll need a microwave with digital controls and a display screen if you want features like auto-cook programs and more exact cooking times, though they can be difficult to operate. What size microwave fits a dinner plate? Meals plates with a maximum diameter of 10 inches are able to fit within a small microwave. Large microwaves, 14-inch plates, and medium-sized microwaves can occasionally fit many dishes at once. Where should I place my microwave? It came to light that the majority of compact microwaves are designed to be used on tabletops or countertops. A minimum of one inch should be left for ventilation between the unit and the wall behind it. Make sure the microwave's front is two or three inches away from the edge of the counter to avoid tipping. Do small microwaves power enough to heat my food?

  2. Indeed, even a small microwave can heat food sufficiently. Even though little microwaves are typically weaker than bigger versions and require more time to reach the same temperature, they are nonetheless capable of heating food.
