Wisdom Teeth Removal Tips

When the dentist tells that wisdom teeth removal is needed, he or she will refer the patient to a

professional oral surgeon. The surgeon will be the one to work and perform on the wisdom teeth

removal in his clinic. Usually, it takes only a few days for the patient to heal and get back to

normal completely.

The usual reasons for wisdom teeth removal

The wisdom teeth are the third set of molars located at the back of the mouth. Usually, they come

out ages 17 to 25, and they are seen and spotted through x-rays. The usual reasons why wisdom

teeth removal is required are:

●The wisdom teeth are impacted – Since the teeth are located far back of the mouth, they

may not come out normally. The teeth can be trapped either in the gums or jawbone,

which can be extremely painful

●The teeth come in at an unusual or wrong angle – The wisdom teeth may come in

pressing against other teeth. Not only that it is painful, but it can damage the other

healthy teeth

●Mouth is not big enough – If the jaw has no available space or room for another set of

molars. If the mouth is not big enough to accommodate another molar, there is no choice

but to give it up

●The patient has gum disease or have existing cavities – if dental floss or a toothbrush

cannot reach the wisdom teeth

So, after wisdom teeth removal there are things needed to do and avoid to fasten the healing
