The current perspective of the teacher student relationship, emphasizes the teacher to be more learning centric than teaching focused. In other words , this relationship is now skewed towards ensuring student convenieance. As a result the relationship is becoming transactional in nature. In the pre pandemic world, physical proximity allowed bonding between teacher and students. In the pandemic ecosystem these personal and informal touch points have been weakened by the digital medium. This has affected the relationship which plays out in the form of a sense of detachment.
