  1. Things to remember while preparing for IAS exams To choose civil service as a career option needs crystal clear aim in your mind. Choose this field only when you are fully confident and passionate about UPSC service. Don’t make a mind on the basis of other’s student perception. The journey and goal of every individual are different from one another so taking an impulsive decision is not a wise decision. When you are 100% sure that you have to work on the path of the most competitive exam then you need to keep few important things in mind which will be helpful for you to achieve your goal. Do proper revision of important topics or subjects No matter what subject you are studying but what matters a lot is how much time you are giving for the revision of that specific topic. Frequent practice and revision will make your topic clear and strong enough. With the help of revision, you will eliminate the possibility of any confusion in your mind. Solve As much as previous solved Question paper you can You must look into the previous year’s question papers and try to solve them as much as you can. There are plenty of previous year question papers available over the internet, which will give you the ground for your exam preparation. Even the Best IAS Coaching in Chandigarh ALS also recommend highly attempting these solved question paper to get aware of pattern of exam and syllabus. You can also conduct a mock exam test to improve your performance on a weekly basis so that you can see how far you have improved. Do read current affairs daily One of the biggest mistakes many students do while preparing for the IAS exam is that they only pay attention to current affairs only a few weeks before the exam which is not a good approach. It is because you cannot store a load of information in your mind in the peak time so consistent learning and practice for 2-3 hours a day will be good for student to learn about current affairs. Regular leaning and revision will help them to prepare for current affair and then they will not get last minute panic situation. Check your exam center before the exam day To avoid last-minute panic, it is highly suggested you visit your exam center at least one day before the exam so that you can know the route of the bus, metro and another medium of transport as per your convenience. Make sure to reach before the exam start and keep buffer time at least 30 minutes so that you can easily navigate the exam center on time. Reach your Exam Center before the scheduled time Calculate the time duration that will take you to reach the exam center and make sure to reach there before the time. For example, if your exam center is 1 hour away from your home then you should leave your place for the exam 90 minutes before the exam so that you will get the 30
