Vespa (Italian pronunciation: [u02c8vu025bspa]) is an Italian brand of scooter manufactured by Piaggio. The name means wasp in Italian. The Vespa has evolved from a single model motor scooter manufactured in 1946 by Piaggio & Co. S.p.A. of Pontedera, Italy to a full line of scooters and one of seven companies today owned by Piaggio.[1]

From their inception, Vespa scooters have been known for their painted, pressed steel unibody which combines, in a unified structural unit, a complete cowling for the engine (enclosing the engine mechanism and concealing dirt or grease), a flat floorboard (providing foot protection), and a prominent front fairing (providing wind protection).

The matt black colour vespa scooter sxl 125 is impeccable. It's been almost 2 years since I own this scooter. It's very comfortable for daily commuting as well as for long rides on weekends. Vespa has an impressive mileage of about 50-55 kmpl. It's a costly scooter but it also has very good build quality. Vespa is capable of reaching the 90 kmph mark in 500 stretches.
It's stopping power is great as it has tires with good road grip. Alternate servicing of vespa is free and paid service can cost you around 800-1000 rs. According to my ownership review vespa has only one con that is after 1500 kms some buzzing sound near the front tyre. Vespa price is on a bit higher side, but the additional features, comfort and durability makes up for the high price. When you ride a vespa the comfort and satisfaction says it all, vespa is durable than any other scooters today in the market, maintaining a vespa is no different compared to other scooters.
Overall Vespa is a very good scooter with classic looks if you are a scooter fan.
