  2. Outline What do international institutions mean? When did international institution has established? What is the purpose of the institutions ? What are the most important institutions? The role of an international institution in Palestine?

  3. An international institution ? Are permanent institutions and bodies of an independent and legal and international character, established by a group of States to promote cooperation among themselves and to achieve their common objectives and to indicate the agreement decided between them.

  4. Establishing the International institutions in the world:- • It established the first international institution in the world of 1919, the league of nations for the Promotion of Peace in the World, especially after the First World War, but failed to achieve peace. The Second World War resulted in the establishment of the United Nations 1945, which promoted the values ​​of peace in the world and then the rest of the institutions.

  5. The purpose of these institutions :- • Cooperation between the Member States in the economic, educational, military and agricultural fields, the promotion of international peace in the world, and the assistance and economic and scientific development of poor peoples and countries.

  6. What are the most important institutions ? • UN ( united nations ) • UNDP ( united nation development program ) • UNRWA (united nations relief and works agency) • UNICEF ( united nations children is emergency fund ) • WHO (world health organization )

UN (united nations ) • Is a global organization composed of independent States whose objectives include the maintenance of international peace and security, the protection of human rights, the provision of humanitarian assistance and support for international law, consisting of 193 States as members of the Organization.

  8. UNDP ( united nations development program) • A global development network of the United Nations, an organization that supports change and links countries with knowledge, experience, and resources to help people build a better life. It works in 177 countries and helps them develop their solutions to meet local and global development challenges.

  9. UNRWA(United Nations Relief and Works Agency) • It is a humanitarian, and human rights agency that works to provide support, protection, and advocacy for the 4.7 million registered Palestinian refugees in Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.

  10. WHO (world health organization ) • It is one of several United Nations specialized agencies in the field of health and is responsible for playing a leading role in addressing global health issues and designing a health research program.

  11. UNICEF(united nations children is emergency fund) • A United Nations-funded agency mandated by the world to promote and protect the rights and well-being of children. UNICEF employs more than 7,000 people in 155 countries around the world.
