LABORATORY AND TERM PAPER PERCENTAGES • LABORATORY: 20% will be theactivitiesfromthe virtual campus activities.Thestudentsmustfulfilltheseactivitieswhichhave to be duringthewholecourse in order to obtaintherequiredpoints to passthesubject. 80% (oral/written ) activities in groups, pairsorindividually. TERM PAPER: 100% A written test. (This test isthe 100% of your total score.

  16. In fact, all of these are true except for (d): it’s better to study during the day and then get a good night’s sleep. The key point is to schedule the work for each task week by week, so that you allocate time for drafting, re-writing and proof-reading. By doing this you will avoid the last-minute panic that leads to poor marks and having to re-take courses.

  17. The purpose of academic writing Writers should be clear why they are writing. The most common reasonsfor writing include:• to report on a piece of research the writer has conducted• to answer a question the writer has been given or chosen• to discuss a subject of common interest and give the writer’s view• to synthesize research done by others on a topic ■ Can you suggest any other reasons?
