  1. Guide On Basic Components Of The Elevator

  2. An elevator is a permanent lifting vehicle assisting two or more landing levels. It comprises a car for transportation of goods or passengers, running at least partly between rigid guide rails, vertical or biased to the vertical by less than 15 degrees. • Elevator parts India is highly in demand, and manufacturers fabricate these different elevator parts with keeping all guidelines in mind. • All elevators are not designed in the same way. Elevator function and features may differ from one elevator to another • Below, we will discuss the basic parts for a conventional elevator included in all traction elevator types.

  3. Basic elevator components • The conventional elevators include the following essential components: • Car • Machine system • Hoistway • Control system • Safety system • Elevator car: • The elevator car is the conveyance that moves between the different elevators and stops carrying goods and passengers; it is typically a massive steel structure encircling a cage of wood and metal panels. • Elevator car types: • Conventional elevator cars can be categorized as per the number of locations and their entrances which are as follows: • Open through cabin • Normal cabin • Diagonal cabin

  4. Elevator Car Components • Elevator parts India manufacturers fabricate elevator car that comprises these following parts: • Car sling (a metal substructure joined to the means of suspension) • The elevator cabin and • Mechanical accessories that include guide shoes, car door and door operator, and door protective device

  5. 1. Car sling: • In the elevator, the car sling is the load carrier, and its isolating vibrations function due to running. • Car sling types: • The suspension (1-1) and (2-1) are the two main types of car sling. However, they may come with or without the breaking system. • Car sling primary components: • Upper transom: • The upper transom is the respite element of the car. It can be either (1-1) or (2-1) type by using 360mm polyamide pulleys. It is also fabricated to support roller guides or sliding shoes. Braking system catch clamps are also installed in the upper transom. • Lower transom: • The lower transom is the car flooring carrier by way of the precisely assembled pressure springs installed in the more insufficient isolation unconventionally. Safety gear catch clamps are also installed in the lower transom, and a shearing linkage system performs their impelling action. • Side frame: • The convertible height side frame is connected together and secured to both the lower and upper transom.

  6. 2. The elevator cabinet: • Ceiling, walls, and floors shall completely cover elevator cabinets; the only admissible opening is the emergency trap door, car door, and ventilation apertures. • Car floor: • Car floor possess adequate mechanical strength to retain forces which will be exercised during safety gear operation, regular operation, and the act of the car to its buffers • Floor size is the exact size of the car in width and depth. The floor extension determines side portal depth, door opening, and location. The floor will be adjourned and protected by PVC covering or granite or marble stone, and it can also be personalized according to the client's requirements. • Car ceiling: • The purpose of car ceiling fabrication is to support two individuals at the time of maintenance operation without permanent distortion. Car ceiling is also prepared to support the balustrade, emergency trap door, and blower fan. • Front panels: • The front panel construction determines door opening location and height. Mainly there are two front panels types, upper and side panels. • Car operating panel (COP): • A car operating panel is a panel installed in the car comprising the car operating controls like door open and close, call register buttons, alarm emergency stop, and other vital buttons or switches necessary for operation.

  7. Handrail: • The handrail is of two types, the flat type handrail and the cylindrical handrail. The purpose of the handrail within the elevator car is to offer a support element for the passengers. In most cases, an elevator car is offered by a handrail at one, two sides, or on all sides of the camp. • Anyhow one side of the car consists of a handrail installed to use the elevators for passengers, including disabled persons. Every handrail has its finishing style like painted in chosen color as per the client's needs or stainless steel styles. • False ceiling: • The primary lighting source in the elevator car is indeed a false ceiling; multiple designs for elevator lighting are available. • However, the most common lighting elements used in elevator lighting are spotlights and fluorescent lighting. It is a combination of two types and can also be used as well. • Emergency trap door assembly: • Emergency trap door can be conveniently unbolted from inside the car by employing a triangular key from the outside of the car, by turning the link without a key. • Electrical safety switches joined to the side frame of the trap door provoke the elevator to stop if the locking ended to be effective; restoring the elevator to service will only be feasible after willingly relocking. • 600x400 mm is the emergency trap door size to enable the rescue and departure of passengers. • Balustrade: • A car roof will be offered along with a balustrade or railing where the free distance between the shaft wall and the car ceiling will increase to 0.3m.

  8. Car apron: • A car apron is located at the bottom of some cars. This apron shields the travelers from being revealed to the open hoistway under the car if the car doors are open when it is not deplaning; therefore, the apron is between 21 and 48 long. • 3. Mechanical accessories: • Car door and door operator: • It has four common types single slide door, two-speed side opening, single-speed center opening, and two-speed center opening doors. • Door operation method: • Elevator doors are typically unbolted by a power unit that is presented on top of the elevator car. When an elevator car is a level with a floor landing, the power unit proceeds the car door open or closed. The power unit unbolts the car door, which sequentially opens the hoistway door. • Door operator: • Motor-driven equipment installed on the elevator car that opens and closes the car doors • Guide shoes: • Guide shoes are appliances utilized primarily to guide the car and balance along the path of the guide rails.

  9. Conclusion • In this article, we have learned precisely about all the basic components or parts of elevators exclusively designed by elevators parts India that will help beginners learn clearly about elevators.
