  1. BUCKET ELEVATOR DIFFERENT TYPES OF INDUSTRIAL BUCKET ELEVATOR AND ITS FUNCTIONALITY

  2. BUCKET ELEVATOR There is a total shift from manual material handling to mechanical material handling. A conveyor is plays an important role in shifting/transporting materials. Bucket elevators are such conveyors used for bulk material handling in industries. The buckets are constantly loaded with the material that needs transportations. They are pushed and pulled with the help of electric power and it will depend upon the width, capacity, and height the bucket will travel. Different industries make use of different types of bucket elevator for material handling. Let’s see a common type of bucket elevator and its application.

  3. This is the most common type of bucket elevator in most of the industries. It works on the principle of centrifugal force to discharge the product. The reason being so popular is that it is a low-cost investment and occupies less space. It has a larger range of capacity to work. The durable bucket just scoops out the material to move it to its destined place. It operates at high speed and for this reason; it can generate centrifugal force that helps in throwing the material to a discharge chute. The design is awesome that only allows materials to follow the bucket. In case any material stays in the bucket and does not fall in the discharge container then it just comes back to the process. It is best to have a centrifugal discharge elevator for fine and lightweight materials. It is good for material handlings like grains, minerals, sugar, and another chemical material handling. CENTRIFUGAL DISCHARGE ELEVATOR

  4. The buckets here are closely held together and there is no gap between them. This system is designed to work at a slower speed and to transport materials they are powdery or in the form of lumps. It is used to handle materials that are fragile and delicate. The buckets are individually filled and the materials are deposited on the principle of gravity. The buckets are available in different shapes and the industry can decide which the most suitable one is. The buckets held close together to avoid any spillage of the material. The advantage of continuous discharge elevators is that it does not damage the material. It has larger capacity buckets and they rotate at low speed. Plastic and mining industries mostly prefer to have continuous discharge elevators for their application. CONTINUOUS/ GRAVITY DISCHARGE ELEVATORS

  5. These are special conveyors used in the handling of materials that are expensive or are sticky. The buckets are specially designed looking at the need of the industry. They are kept quite large in size so that the material’s nature and texture are preserved. The buckets move very slowly ensuring that there is no spillage of the material at all. The positive discharge buckets are arranged as per the industrial need and so it comes out to be more expensive than the other two types. Not many industries use this type of bucket elevator. The discharge of the material happens directly into the container with a slow speed ensuring that the damage does not occur. POSITIVE DISCHARGE ELEVATORS

  6. BUCKET ELEVATOR Having a bucket elevator is common these days for industries that are into material handling. You should carefully choose the type of bucket elevator depending upon the material type and purpose. The nature of the material will decide about the size and speed at which bucket can move certain feet. Hence, understand this behavior well before choosing an elevator type. If you are still unsure about which bucket elevator may be best suitable then you can reach our team at Trimech India. Trimech India is a manufacturer and supplier of bucket elevators for years. Our team will be happy to guide in choosing the best bucket elevator for your industrial need.
