The statement said that the board of Punjab will not be holding practical exams for both matric and intermediate final papers for the academic year 2021 due to the coronavirus ongoing health crisis in the Pakistan. However, the Higher Education Department of Pakistan refused to postpone the matric and intermediate papers 2021, saying it is extremely necessary to hold final exams for the future of students. Earlier, the Government of Punjab Education Department, in consultation with all the provincial authorities, had decided to conduct exams 2021 for both matric and intermediate students in only elective subjects not compulsory subjects to facilitate the students amid pandemic COVID-19.
