Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) Systems are medical devices used to measure lung function and diagnose lung disorders. They typically measure variables such as forced expiratory volume (FEV1), forced vital capacity (FVC), and total lung capacity. The results of PFT tests can be used to diagnose respiratory conditions such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and interstitial lung disease. These systems typically consist of a machine (sometimes called a spirometer) that the patient blows into, along with software to analyze the results of the test.
