  1. Most Beautiful Historic Cities In South America To Explore In 2023 Today we will be taking you on a tour across Latin America and shining the light on the most historic cities in South America. South America is a continent in the Western Hemisphere mostly in the southern hemisphere with a relatively small portion in the northern hemisphere. It may also be considered a subcontinent of the Americas which is how it is viewed in most of Europe, Spanish, and Portuguese-speaking regions of the Americas.
