  3. About the Couple: Rakayle (Rock) Brown and Jocelyn Gant re-united in early 2017 after Rock posted a promotion for his personal training services. Despite attending the same middle and high schools, Rock and Jocelyn had never spoken to each other. The gym was an opportunity for them to finally get to know one another. After spending time together training, a spark grew between them that was like no other.

ACCOMODATIONS Less than an hour from Birmingham, wedding Farms is an expansive 3,200-acre resort offering picturesque views, fresh air and a quiet escape from the world as you exchange your vows before family and friends. The centerpiece of the resort is the Hamilton Place wedding venue, comprised of the Hamilton Place Grand Ballroom, lakeside ceremonial lawn and a spacious terrace, ideal for outdoor staging, as well as the circa 1852 Historic Hamilton Home, a popular setting for the wedding party to prepare for the day together.

Inside Hamilton Place Hamilton Place is graciously appointed with furnishings reflective of a fine Southern home, including a magnificent painting by Pursell Farms’ Artist-in-Residence, Vaughan Pursell Spanjer. The Grand Ballroom offers more than 3,500 square feet of space, 20 ft. vaulted ceilings with skylights and handsome oak hardwood floors.

  6. A warm, summer wedding in Alabama just begs to be outdoors, so finding the right venue to provide comfortable settings for all guests is key during the planning process. For this inspirational shoot, we imagined an intimate home wedding, hosted in the backyard for close friends and family. Refreshments should always be at the ready with plenty of seating areas, inviting guests to sit and stay a while.
