  2. LearnArabic Today Arabic is the official language of over 20 countries and is spoken by over 320 million native speakers. It is also an official language of the United Nations, the Arab League, the Organization of Islamic Conference, and the AfricanUnion.

  3. Fino’CThamoru Chamorro is spoken in Guam,an "unincorporated territory" (functionally a colony) of the US in the western Pacific. Here the language, still spoken by 47,000 speakers, isendangered.

  4. WThyStudy Hindi &Urdu? Hindi derives from Sanskrit, uses Sanskrit (Devanagari) script, and relies on Sanskrit vocabulary; Urdu uses Persian (Nastaliq) script and is influenced by Persian- Arabic vocabulary. Yet the two are completely mutually intelligible in everyday spoken usage, linguistically inseparable, and are in fact one language in structure and grammar. So Hindi-Urdu as one opens doors towards South Asia, South-East Asia, Central Asia, and the Middle East and embodies their cultural and linguisticsymbiosis.

  5. StudySamoan Basics: The Samoan Language certificate consists of a minimum of 15 credits beyond the introductory (100-) level. Intermediate- (200-) level language courses may count for both HSL and the Language Certificate when courses are taken for a letter grade. Studentsmust maintain a 3.0 GPA in all courses counting toward the Certificate. All courses must likewise be taken for a letter grade; CR/NC and Back Credits cannot count toward the Language Certificate
