AIRLINK HAITI RESPONSE • AIRLINK HAITI RESPONSE • 2,010 doctors, nurses and relief workers moved • Over 500,500 lbs of cargo transported • 75 flights facilitated by AirLink into Haiti and the Dominican Republic • AirLink has donated over $400,000 to help support relief flights • Operations to Haiti continue 14

  15. AIRLINK HELPING HAITI AirLink in conjunction with UPS, Partners in Health (PIH), Invacare Ohio, and Dr. Megan Coffee, has combined forces to move a shipment of oxygen container medical equipment, from Ohio to Haiti. UPS was able to fully donate the move door-to-door from Ohio to Haiti. 15

  16. JAPAN – March 2011 Over 15,000 fatalities 6,000 injured Over 125,000 buildings damaged or destroyed 16

  18. AIRLINK HELPING JAPAN Through AirLink Hawaiian Air donated five round trip seats to Airline Ambassadors International (AAI) for a mission to set up aid distribution logistics. On Tuesday, April 5th the AAI team met with both Hands on Tokyo and Second Hand Harvest in Japan to discuss aid distribution. They also prepared 1,000 pounds of relief supplies that AAI volunteers brought with them on the Hawaiian Air flight for distribution in areas north of Tokyo. On April 6th the AAI team met with warehouse staff near the Narita airport to inspect the 3,000 square feet of donated space that was offered to AAI for storage of aid supplies. 18

  19. AIRLINK FEEDBACK I want to thank AirLink, and Particularly Hawaiian and JetBlue Airlines, for helping us with our response to the disaster in Japan. We were able to combine their two offers to allow me a no-cost roundtrip flight, which helped keep our efforts on the ground focused and progressive. With simultaneous efforts underway in Haiti, Japan, and now Missouri our resources are strained, and knowing that the "AirLink Team" is there to provide support and encouragement means a lot to all of us at All Hands Volunteers. Thanks, David -- David Campbell Executive Director All Hands Volunteers PO Box 546 Carlisle, MA 01741 http://hands.org/ 19

  21. Back UP SLIDES

  22. AIRLINK – THE FUNDAMENTALS • Airlines can increase their efficiency by donating or discounting available space to charities & NGOs • Charities & NGOs need air capacity to ship both routine and critical supplies and staff internationally AirLink makes this connection easy, quick, and confidential

  23. AIRLINK AIRLINE ADVISORY COUNCIL 23

  24. ISTAT • Who is ISTAT? • ISTAT stands for the International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading. • Let me explain… 24

  25. AIRLINK RESPONDS … … to Haiti and Japan 25

  26. JAPAN – March 2011 Over 15,000 fatalities 6,000 injured Over 125,000 buildings damaged or destroyed 26

  27. AIRLINK JAPAN RESPONSE • 15 Aid distribution workers from 4 different NGOs flown by Hawaiian Air from USA immediately after disaster • Over 1,000 lbs of aid supplies carried on board by relief workers • Shipped 200 ShelterBox units from UK to Tokyo on UPS • Operations to Japan continue 27

  28. MORE AIRLINES & NGOs NEEDED • Airline participants have no obligations to provide any lift at all • Airlines can “shop” for a NGO/project or input available capacity • The website is user-friendly and accessible 24/7 • NGOs enter “needs” into the AirLink site for all participating airlines to see • AirLink is a one stop shop to access trusted, vetted NGOs • Airlines are free to charge a fee and to make a profit from the shipments that they carry • We need as many airline and NGO participants as possible to ensure that AirLink becomes a true marketplace

  29. SO REMEMBER. . . • 1/7 people of the World are hungry or malnourished • 25% do not have access to proper medical care • A child dies from hunger every 6 seconds • AirLink can help!!
