  3. Creativity Critical Thinking The urge to create arises in part from the brain’s amazing plasticity. It creates new patterns perpetually in response to impulses that reach it from the outside world. Thinking through problems to find solutions Weighing alternatives Analyzing - allows the brain to store information in its long-term memory.

  4. Diverse Instructional Approaches The 5 senses send impulses to the brain that cause neurons to connect with one another resulting in changes to the brain’s physical structure.

  5. Assessment Informs Instruction • Regular and timely feedback helps the brain appraise its own behavior and correct any shortcomings.
