  2. GeoGebra • For GeoGebra, the answer at this time is no. It uses Java, and Java cannot be installed on Android tablets or iPads. • Here’s screen shots from a Kindle Fire HD.

  6. Mixed Results for Livescribe Files The Livescribe Echo pen can create two kinds of web-readable files: • An Adobe pdf file stored on the local computer. This can then be uploaded to any server and can be played with Adobe Reader 10. • An html file stored on the Livescribe web site.

  7. Kindle with Adobe Reader App When a Livescribepdf file is opened, this screen appears for about three seconds.

  9. Using Windows on a PC Here’s a screen capture on a Windows 7 computer using Adobe Reader X. It has a movie player bar, with sound.

  11. Livescribe html File Viewed with Flash Installed and Dolphin Browser This plays the same as on Internet Explorer. Additionally, the enlargement tablet gesture can be used, or the full screen button can be pressed. You may need a powered external speaker connected to the headphone jack.

Summary • GeoGebra and Java-based apps—not possible now • Livescribe Adobe pdf files on a tablet—not possible with current Adobe app • Livescribe html files on Android—possible with the installation of the ES file explorer, Adobe Flash, and the Dolphin browser • There are implications for MyMathLab
