  23. ENTERING THE ROOM • Make sure you have ALL necessary materials for the class. • Enter the classroom quietly. • Go directly to your assigned seat. • Get ready to work on the “Get Started” activity

  24. After the Bell Rings • Review the Agenda • Begin the “Get Started” activity that will be written on the board. • Do the “Get Started” in your binder. • When you finish, wait quietly for the next direction

  25. WHILE YOU ARE WORKING Make sure you read or listen to the directions about your work and understand them. If you didn’t understand, ask help from other students sitting around you. If they also don’t understand, ask Mr. Mosier to explain it. If you are asked to help, be polite and kind and offer your best. Talking to each other should be no louder than a whisper. The person sitting on the other side of the room should not be interrupted by your noise. Respect each other and be friendly. Use your time wisely. Put forth your best effort to finish your work on time.

  26. If you finish early… • Work on unfinished history assignments • Work on homework from another subject • Read a book

  27. Getting your attention: Key Words "Listen Up" "Quiet Please" "Can I have your attention"

  28. Getting your attention… • Stop whatever you are doing at that moment. • Face the teacher and wait silently. • Notify any classmates who haven’t noticed that Mr. Mosier has used a “key word”. • No talking or whispering. All of your attention should be given to Mr. Mosier.

  29. Getting out of here… • We will NOT line up at the door like elementary school – stay in your seat. • Police your area – • Check the area around your desk, take all garbage to the trash. • Check with Mr. Mosier before leaving
