    4. Toll Gate Reviews Remember, the Toll Gate review is a process that allows the team and sponsor to assess the status of the project. Tollgates provide a structure to: Assess implementations Ensure capability to sustain the gains Continue improvements beyond implementation Typically the team prepares the project documentation and presents to the project sponsor. The next pages provide a guide for things to consider for the Analyze Toll Gate.

    5. Typical Questions for the ANALYZE Phase Have you made any revisions to the charter? How have you changed the objectives? How has the scope changed? What was your approach to analyzing the data? Why did you choose these tools? What worked well/did not work well about these tools? What are the factors that drive variation in the process? How was the data stratified? Did you use a cause and effect tool? Which one(s)? Was a cause and effect analysis? How were potential causes identified and validated? What do the detailed process maps indicate? What are the key leverage points? Which are non-value added process steps? How long does the process take?

    6. ANALYZE Phase Questions (cont.) What are the root causes of the problems? How did you draw those conclusions? How have you analyzed the data to identify the factors that account for variation in the process? How was your data stratified? Are targets for CTQ metrics established? Have you found any quick win improvements? Have the ANALYZE phase deliverables specified in the work plan been created using the appropriate tools? Where stakeholders involved in the analysis phase? What were their reactions to the data? Was buy-in obtained? What risks presented themselves, if any? Is the stakeholder management plan being used?
