Vocabulary: • ROI-Return on investment. • Pertinent- Relevant  to a particular matter. • Rapport- A close relationship, in which the people or groups involved understand each other's feelings or ideas and communicate well. • Inquires- A search for knowledge. • Sourcing-Find out where something can be found. • QA- Quality assurance. • Audits- An official inspection of an individual's or organization's accounts.

  4. Beauty Stylist: • Where? The Northwest. • Experience? 5 years of experience required. • Job description? Help customers find beauty products suited to fit their needs. • Market level? Tertiary portion of the fashion industry. • Education? Must be educated in cosmetic business and products.

  5. DESIGN ASSISTANT • Where?Philadelphia, PA • Experience? 1-2 Years working in the design industry. • Job Description? Work closely with the Designer and Buyers to develop a cohesive product assortment that both fulfill business needs, as well as pushing the envelope with new product development. • Market Level? Secondary Market. • Education? Degree in Product, Industrial or Furniture Design

  9. Summary: • Overall it seems that textile careers are most commonly needed at the current time. Careers in footwear and home fashion also have a lot of openings. The most shocking to me though, was that I found absolutely no jobs in the retail and apparel industry. There are a plentiful amount of fashion careers in the NY metro area, while there are few on an international level.
