  4. About the Products (from the company’s website): • First bike model formed the cornerstone of their philosophy of simply advanced • That model was the Tazmon with a single pivot duel suspension • They make 20 models now • Offer a full range of bicycles for women Introduction

PLM is the key factor in its successful process redesign. • Santa Cruz used to apply computer-aided-design (CAD) software. • They spent about 7 months to develop a new design • if the design failed, whole company would restart the design, • Starting over is the only solution • This could waste money and time. The Old Way

The design team found a PLM system • It helped them analyze and model capabilities in a much more robust manner. • The PLM systems are able to use some professional software • to track the whole design process. • Allowing the designer to make a change and adaption to the design model.
