NCSC GSEG Project • Goal – to ensure that students with significant cognitive disabilities achieve increasingly higher academic outcomes and leave high school ready for post-secondary options. • How – develop model of curriculum, instruction, assessment and professional development support for teachers; build a comprehensive assessment system based on the Common Core State Standards.

  4. edCount Management • Engaged by NCSC GSEG through a subaward • Grants and Contracts Management Company • Role is to procure subawards for goods and services needed by NCSC GSEG to perform the grant • Contract for goods and services related to this RFP will be entered into by and between edCount Management and successful Vendor.

  5. Role of Technology • Plays a key role in the system to support instruction and assessment • Warehousing information • Access to tasks and items • Delivering resources • Access to curricular “modules” • Constructing and delivering formative, interim and summative assessments • Facilitating scoring • Distributed scoring of selected items and tasks • Automatic scoring of multiple choice items • Producing reports

  6. Overview of RFP • Soliciting a Vendor to provide an: • Overall technology design solution that addresses all project requirements; and • Implementation solution and ongoing support to meet all project goals and timelines

Section 3 Requirements and Scope of Work • Overall Project Phases • Vendor’s role is to help design and manage each step in the process of implementing technology platform • Building or procuring the technology system is outside the scope of this RFP • General Topics/Requirements • Addresses the general expectations for the technology system • Describes information Vendor should include in their response

  14. Key Dates* • Intent to Bid 1/27/2012 • Cut-off for Questions 2/3/2012 • Vendor Responses 2/17/2012 • Notification of Award 3/15/2012 *These represent some but not all key dates. All key dates are in the RFP.

  15. Written Questions Emailed Prior to Webinar • Question 1: Assessment item development was included in the Technical Narrative of the NCSC GSEG grant. Has the RFP announcement concerning the above been sent to prospective bidders? Is it still open for bidding? If it is, could we be placed on the list to receive it? • Response: RFP #2012-01-01 is the first RFP that has been issued by NCSC GSEG. When, or if, additional RFPs are released, we will send the information to interested vendors.
