  1. THERMAL POWER Made By: Zoya Baakza Group Members: AlyshaBhayani SherjanMalik HammadNasir

  2. WHAT IS THERMAL ENERGY? In a conventional thermal power station, fuel is used to heat water, which gives off steam at high pressure. This in turn drives a turbines to create electricity. At the heart of a power station is a generator, a rotating machine that converts mechanical energy into electrical energy.

  3. WHAT ARE SOME USES OF THERMAL ENERGY? DID YOU KNOW… Thermal Energy can be referred to as ‘Heat Energy’ or ‘Thermal Power’ ? Thermal energy, heat, is used in all sorts of ways. We use it to keep warm prepare food and to make zillions of products. We can convert thermal energy into electrical energy, too.

  4. HAS THERMAL POWER BEEN DEVELOPED IN PAKISTAN? Surprisingly, quite a few Thermal Power stations have been developed in Pakistan, in many different places. They help in the generation of electricity. Here are a few…

  5. Guddu, KASHMORE Bin Qasim, KARACHI

  6. Hub Power Plant, HUB UchShareef, UCH

  7. A FEW POWER PLANTS AND THEIR LOCATIONS IN PAKISTAN…

  8. HOW CAN THERMAL POWER BE PROMOTED?

  9. Thermal Power is a cheap way of generating electricity, it is also a renewable source which should be promoted throughout the world especially in countries which can afford to build thermal power stations. Awareness should be raised and the government should try to build thermal power stations.

  10. Smaller space is required IN hydro power plant. Fuel used is cheap BENEFITS OF THERMAL POWER Thermal plants can be placed near load centres unlike hydro and nuclear plants Economical in initial cost compared to hydro plants. RENEWABLE
