  1. Welcome to Mrs. Cope’s Kindergarten Class!!

  3. Book Rental • Book rental is $65.50 • Includes all supplies except a book bag • Make Checks Payable to Eagle Elementary • You can pay me tonight.

  4. Hours & Absences • School begins at 9:00 and ends at 3:45. • Students may enter the building no earlier than 8:45 • Please call if your child will be absent and leave a message. 852-1050, 24 hours a day

  5. Transportation • Transportation Tags- Fill out your child’s name, address and how he/she will be getting to/from school. Your child must wear this their first day and every day. • Please notify in writing if there will be a transportation change. Do not leave a message. • To take a child out, you must sign them out in the office.

  6. Birthdays & Snacks • Birthdays are recognized on morning announcements • No Birthday treats, invitations, balloons, etc. delivered to school. • Classroom snacks must meet nutritional guidelines (see list) • Send snacks in anytime!!

  7. Special Classes • PE, Art, Music, Library & • Wear or bring tennis shoes every day. • Library books- please keep these in book bag

  8. Breakfast & Lunch • Please send in a note if you wish for your child to go to Breakfast. • We have lunch at 11:10 am. • Student lunch costs $1.90. • Lunch consists of milk, 3 side dishes, and a main dish. Students may choose 1 of 4 main dishes: pizza, PB & J, Cold Sandwich or the daily hot entrée. • Parents may purchase a lunch from $2.80.

  9. Email • Please provide me with the best email address to reach you. All notes, newsletters, etc. will be sent electronically in an effort to go paperless. Thank you for your cooperation!

  10. Folder • Each child will receive a take home folder. Please check your child’s folder each day and initial his/her behavior sheet. Remove work that is in the Leave at Home side of the folder. Send notes to me in his/her folder.

  11. Clothing • Dress your child for the weather! • Play clothes are recommended because we may be painting, etc. • Shoes must be fastened (NO FLIP FLOPS!) • We may go outside on cold days, so be sure your child has outdoor gear.

  12. If your child is sick • Per student handbook: a child must be fever, vomit & diarrhea free for 24 hours without medication before returning to school. • Please be sure we have current phone numbers & address on file.

  13. Important Dates • Fun Run September 10th • Parent Teacher Conferences, the week of November 8th (Kindergarten report cards will go home right before your child’s conference)

  14. Volunteers • Volunteers will be needed in the classroom, on field trips, at classroom parties and at home! • If you plan on volunteering anytime, fill out background check form and return to school. This is on my website.
