How can I get my child into a Magnet?

Final Steps:

  • Lottery will take place in early spring.

  • You will be informed of your child’s status.

  • If offered placement, reply yes or no.

If you have a child in Special Education:

  • Research the magnet in which you are interested.

  • Discuss a possible magnet placement in an I.E.P. meeting

  • If this seems a viable possibility, apply using the district web site. All students must go through the lottery process.

  • If your student is selected, meet with both schools in an I.E.P. meeting to discuss successful placement and programming.
