Yesterday • 10:58 Beam lost - humidity sensor on the generator MKDGAI at UA63. • 14:00 Start B2 aperture measurements for extracted beam • complete measurement of B2 hor/vert aperture of extracted beam line was done, as well as a TCDQ loss calibration scan with B2 • 20:00SPS power converter trips • Some issues with beam quality when going to circulating LHC planning

  2. Yesterday evening 22:43 cold compressor#3 (P18) switched of due to a problem with a frequency converter. Given the cryo conditions in S12 were about to be lost, it was decided to stop and ramp down sector 12. At 22:24:45 there was a disturbance on the 400kV network that was detected on the FMCM in pt 6 which caused the beam to be dumped. Access.. LHC planning

LBDS Wolfgang & Chiara Complete measurement of B2 hor/vert aperture of extracted beam line 1) mask BLMs in P6 2) scanned through phases --> losses at expected elements according to YASP bump - TCDQ: loss calibration scan: 1) kicked beam with MKQ until touching TCPs in P7 2) measured emittance 3) measured intensity 4) masked BPM in P6!!!!! 5) thresholds for TCDQ to parking 6) moved in TCDQ in 200um steps until full beam was scraped --> integrated signal gives loss calibration --> BLM data for >1.3 s not logged - TCDQ: fast calibration scan: 1) Intensity 2) move TCDQ in one go through the beam --> for both calibration measurements got beam with strange losses in collimation region, checked all trims to be out and MKQ, maybe due to wrong PC settings LHC planning

Accesses Among others… 1) Injection kicker Pt8 requires access to UA for broken card -> call Etienne when time is available 2) Pt4 EBS11-43 requires intervention for UPS: 3 hours intervention with 6 hours pre-warning. Call Gerard Kummer 3) BI requires access in Pt4 for fixing mirror adjustment of Synchrotron light monitor. 4) MP3 requires access for Undulator powering right of Pt4. 5) Pt4 - email from Gianluigi: EPC also found that RQ4.LR3 shows some noise bursts that might be of thermal origin. In order to diagnose better the problem they would like to change the configuration of the DCCTs on that power converter. LHC planning
