  2. Principles of Training continued… S- specificity: the training done needs to be specific to the sport being played. Example:? P- progression: Your body needs to be put under slight pressure if you want to improve your fitness Example:? O- overload: You need to put greater demand on your body in order for it to improve Example:?

  3. Principles of Training cont…. R- reversibility: If you do not continue to exercise you will lose your fitness, muscles will become atrophy (loose) Example:? T-tedium: Make sure your sessions are interesting and not boring Example:? Therefore it is important to maintain the minimum fitness.

  4. Principles of Training F- Frequency: the number of times you exercise per week I- Intensity: the level of difficulty of the exercise T- Time : the time spent exercising (keeping pulse at 60-80% of max hr) T-Type: The kind of exercise you chose to do
