  1. Focus: How do we navigate the multiple choice section of an AP-Style exam? You must answer 70 multiple choice questions in 55 minutes. RULE #1 – ACCURACY IS MOST IMPORTANT – Attempt to answer the easier questions first. Skip the troublesome questions and if you have time, go back and try to answer the difficult questions. Do not miss the opportunity to have a shot at a questions later in the test that you may easily be able to answer!

  3. RULE #2- ELIMINATE choices. There are 5 possible answer choices: 2 of the answers are just plain wrong. Find them and cross them out. 1 answer looks right—it may even be PARTIALLY right—but there is something about it that is also wrong. They call these “distractors”. 2 of the answers are PLAUSIBLE, but only ONE is the choice that BEST ANSWERS THE QUESTION BEING ASKED!
