Overview • Part of a 13 racecourse group called Racecourse Holdings Trust, who in turn are owned by the Jockey Club including Aintree, Cheltenham, Newmarket, Epsom, Kempton, Sandown and a number of smaller courses. • 31 Racedays - Jumps & Flat - 190,000 racing visitors from families in the Newton Enclosure to Hospitality for up to 500 guests in one room.

  3. Overview • 150,000 + non racing visitors attending conferences, dinners, weddings, exhibitions and outdoor events. • 1000 + events a year • Operating 320 + days a year

Facilities • Race day facilities licensed for 20,000 people including: • 4 enclosures racing ranging in entry price from £6 to £40 • 33 Hospitality boxes • 3 Large hospitality facilities for up to 100 guests • 3 Restaurants • Non Racing • 6 Large conference rooms for up to 500 delegates • 33 Small syndicate rooms • 6 Larger syndicate rooms • 1000 sq metres of indoor ground floor exhibition space • 18 acres of outdoor hard standing exhibition space • 800 m grass landing strip

Turf Management/Racing Professional • Clerk of the Course • Responsible for the turf management (facing surface) • Racing professionals (starter, stewards, valets, jockeys, vets, smithy, horse ambulance) • Head Groundsman • Responsible for the preparation and maintenance of the racing surface, fences, grounds, gardens. • Assistant Head Groundsman • Deputises for the Head Groundsman when absent • Responsible for gardens and flower beds • Ground Staff – 15 full time and up to 50 casual • Tractor Drivers • Fence Building • Plant Operating • Gardeners • Tree Surgeons

Racecourse Operations • Operations Manager • Manages all activities that provide products and to non racing visitors & racing punters and hospitality guests including – security, reception, maintenance, porters, cleaning, sub contractors • Deputy Ops Manager and Duty Managers • Day to day management of racecourse operations staff including cleaners, porters and maintenance personnel. • Maintenance • Electrician • Joiners/Plumber/General Builders • Painters • Porters - 5 full time and up to 20 casual • Responsible for room set up, audio visual equipment & general customer assistance. • Cleaners – 5 full time and up to 30 casual -Cleaning across the whole site from the rooms used for conferences to stands, seats, entrance buildings and offices. • Gate Staff and Stewards up to 150 all casual

Catering Operations • General Manager • Manages the day to day operations of the contracted catering company • Front Off House – Manager, Waiting & Bar Staff – 5 full time, up to 500 casual • Set and lay rooms and bars ready for service • Serve food and beverage • Clean and clear tables and bars after service • Head Chef & Chefs – 4 full time, up to 15 casual • Responsible for all the food ordering and production on site • Cellar Manager & Cellar Porters & Porters – 3 full time, up to 15 casual • Responsible all beverage ordering and distribution around the site
