ACHS Student Norms • Preparedness • Students will efficiently use passing periods in order to be in the classroom by the “in” bell. • Students will have teacher-requested learning materials on their desk by the “learning” bell. • Food and Drink • Enjoy breakfast and lunch during designated times and places. • Dress Code • Students will encourage an honorable environment by wearing ACHS approved clothing.

ACHS Student Norms • Restrooms Students will maximize learning time by using the restroom between classes. • Electronics Personal electronics are used as directed by the teacher for academic purposes only. • Safe and respectful learning environment Students will make thoughtful word choices. Students will make their actions learning-friendly. Students will remain in their seats until dismissed by teacher.

  4. Students in this Classroom… • Follow the school-wide expectations listed above • Create, understand and follow class-generated norms

  5. Participation looks like: • Be on time • Be prepared, (bring supplies: pen, pencil, notebook, homework) • Follow school expectations and classroom norms • Complete assignments and homework on time • Listen and treat others with respect

  6. Supplies • Your 3-ring school binder and paper • Notebook (Journal) (Will be kept in classroom) • Your homework • Bring a pen or pencil

  7. Homework • Buy and bring your supplies (must bring a journal to leave in classroom by Monday)

  8. Class Norms for Block ________ • In your small group make a list of at least 10 classroom norms to share with your classmates • Norms are behaviors we think are important for everyone in the classroom • For Example: Listen when your classmates are sharing
