  2. What is Prezi? • Prezi is an internet tool used for making presentations. • A Prezi user can make a large presentation without having to skip through slides. The presenter can zoom in and out of one streaming image. • Once you learn how to utilize Prezi you will find it to be an efficient and creative presentation format. • In English: Once you go Prezi, you never go PowerPoint.

  3. How do I use Prezi? • New Prezi users are greeted with a tutorial on how to get started. Once you make your first document, you can use a step by step guide until you are comfortable. • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MAloWJiCQ-o&feature=player_embedded

  4. How can I utilize Prezi in the Classroom? • Prezi promotes academic engaged learning time because you don’t have to waste time skipping between slides for slower note takers and to get back to previous information. • You can download Prezi documents, and each document is public, so students can access your presentation on their own time for studying and reference. • If you are skilled with Prezi you can navigate through your presentation smoothly without interruptions. • This means less time hearing “hey can you go back to that slide?”

  5. Bloom’s Taxonomy • Prezi would fall under the Understand and Analyze portion of Bloom’s Taxonomy. • Prezi helps with comprehension because it displays summarized information in a clear and non confusing way. • Prezi helps with analysis skills because with all information displayed at once on a subject, students can zoom in and out to find key points to determine the components of the information.

  6. Advantages vs. Disadvantages of Prezi • The advantages of Prezi is that it is a public site if used on ‘freemium’ you have access to all the components of the site and can create your own reports, and look at others. • Teachers with skills in Prezi can use this for modern age PowerPoint purposes. • The website is clear cut and easy to navigate for teachers and students alike. • Disadvantages would be that if you are unsure how to use Prezi, your class with not run smoothly because you will be fumbling to find information. • If the teacher is having trouble presenting their information the students will become distracted. • I found Prezi to be a little bit difficult at first, and hard to even explain how to use in this PowerPoint. Once you do learn it, its second nature.
