  2. Reasons why I choose to wait

  3. Break ups Sex is the most important thing you can give, once it’s gone what’s left to offer? Sex is not a way to make your mate stay with you and break ups are always an option

  4. stds • Roughly 75 percent of all reported gonorrhea is found in people age 15 to 29, with the highest infection rates found in teen girls age 15 to 19  • The U.S. has the highest rate of STD infection • 46% of American high school students have had sexual intercourse and potentially are at risk for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection, other STDs.

  5. Guilt • Sex can make you feel trashy or easy • Sex can make you feel like you gave it up too fast • Sex can make you feel like that’s all your partner wanted from you • Sex can have you wondering who knows about the “secret”

  6. (Williams Lake, BC) pregnancy • The United States has one of the highest teen pregnancy rates in the world. • Very few teens who become mothers plan on doing so • Teens who become pregnant are less likely to attend college

  7. When it’s gone it’s gone • Virginity is the most precious thing you can give away. Most youth find themselves wishing they would have waited a little longer or gave it to someone different.

  8. The bibles intake

  9. The bible discuss sex • Hebrews 13:4Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.(NIV) • Corinthians 13:4–8aLove is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. (NIV)

  10. Hebrews 13:4

  11. Corinthians 13:4–8a

  12. Not everyone is doing it The majority of teens who claim to have sex aren’t actually doing it, and the ones who are doing shouldn’t influence you.

  13. Second chances No one is perfect we all make mistakes or choices we’re not proud of. This is where second chances come in and you can make a pledge to become celibate : from now on stay away from sex.

  14. celibacy Celibacy is like a second chance to stay away from sex. Celibacy is for people who have engaged in sex but for some reason vow to become pure again.
