Acid Rain (Example) • Chemistry – understand how sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide react with moisture in the air to produce acid rain • Biology – understand its effect on life forms from algae to fish to trees. • Economics – cost of installing smokestack scrubbers that will reduce pollution from coal-burning factories and power plants. • Geographer – look at all of these areas and reach practical solutions that are presented to the public, industries or the government.
