  4. SUMMARY Conrad has a surprise quiz in trig and while taking it he sees another student suzanne struggle with it. conrad walks out and sees suzannne crying because she believe she failed the quiz and conrad pities her and try to help her though he is rejected. Stillman later walks by and makes a comment about both jeanie and suzanne which infuriates conrad. Later in bed conrad thinks about his day and has a epiphany of just laughing of future taunts. He thinks about the quiz and remembers that he failed it last year but he thinks he passed it this time. Conrad later remembers christmas in florida and he fall asleep. The next day conrad has an appointment with dr. berger who he tell him about his dream but the doctor doesn’t really believe in dreams. Berger tell conrad to lie on the floor to change his perspective. Berger know something is bothering conrad so he gets him to confess about not wanting to be on the swim team anymore.

  5. quote “God she’s so fat. Has she always been so fat?” - This quote while sounding mean shows that conrad is starting to notice people around him instead of just only him looking internally at himself.

  6. Change Conrad is starting o notice the people around him instead of him just looking only at himself and all the problems he has.

  7. MAJOR CONFLICT The major conflict in this chapter is conrad laying in his bed and thinking about the past, present, and future and how he will have to deal with all of it.
