  2. General information on WGVBS • INCOSAI 2007 established the WGVBS. • INCOSAI 2010 considered the Framework for Communicating and Promoting the Value and Benefits of SAIs.

An ISSAI on the Value and Benefits of SAIs General information on the WGVBS Mandate of the WGVBS • A performance measurement framework for SAIs • Planned deliverables • A guideline on effective practices of cooperation between SAIs, the legislature, the judiciary and the executive • A guideline on communicating and promoting the value and benefits of SAIs and interacting with citizens

  5. 6thmeeting of the WGVBS • Key decisions from the WGVBS meeting: • Supported the submission of the following two documents developed by the working group to the 64th meeting of the INTOSAI Governing Board (GB) and XXIst INCOSAI for approval: • ISSAI X: The Value and Benefits of Supreme Audit Institutions – making a difference to the lives of citizens • Communicating and Promoting the Value and Benefits of SAIs: An INTOSAI Guideline

Project Group 1: Development of an ISSAI • INTOSAI Due Process for Professional Standards • (Development of new guidance) • Project proposal (Stage 1) • Approved at 3rd meeting of the KSC Steering Committee • Exposure draft (Stage 2) • Final exposure draftwas approved at the 4th meeting of the KSC Steering Committee • ISSAI exposed for comment from 8 October 2012 – 28 February 2013 • Endorsement version (Stage 3) • Comments • Analysis of the comments • Endorsement version presented at WGVBS • Classification of the ISSAI • Translation of the ISSAI • Final ISSAI • (Stage 4) • / way forward • KSC Steering Committee meeting (16 – 17 September) • 64thGoverning Board meeting, October 2013 • INCOSAI, October 2013 – final endorsement

Project Group 1: Development of an ISSAI • Do you agree that the comments provided by SAIs in the exposure process are appropriately reflected in the endorsement version of ISSAI 12? • Do you agree that the endorsement version of ISSAI 12 can be forwarded to the INTOSAI Governing Board with the assurance that the Due Process for INTOSAI Professional Standards has been followed? Project Group 3: Development of a guideline for communicating and promoting the value and benefits of SAIs and interacting with citizens • Develop the exposure draft • Exposure of the guideline • 6th meeting of the WGVBS • 64th Governing Board meeting, October 2013 • 5th meeting of the KSC Steering Committee • Translation Do you approve the guideline Communicating and Promoting the Value and Benefits of SAIs: An INTOSAI Guideline and agree that it can be forwarded to the INTOSAI Governing Board and INCOSAI for final approval? • Final endorsement – INCOSAI 2013 Key question for the KSC Steering Committee:

Proposed future of the WGVBS • Task Force on SAIs’ Information Database • WGVBS – chaired by the SAI of Mexico • WGVBS Do you approve the merger of the Task Force and the Working Group, and agree that the proposal can be presented to the INTOSAI Governing Board and INCOSAI for approval?
