NHS Pledge: I pledge myself to uphold the high purposes of the National Honor Society to which I have been selected; I will be true to the principles to which it stands; I will be loyal to my school and will maintain and encourage high standards of scholarship, character, leadership, and service.

  3. Treasurer’s Report: Brooke Latimer • OLD TOTAL: $1,699.25 • Expenditures • Giftwrap: $10.60 • Stationery: $29.99 • Motion to appropriate total of $40.59 for expenses • New balance $1,658.66

  5. Information for New Members • There will be a general National Honor Society Meeting the last Wednesday of every month. • You may only miss two meetings per year in order to stay in “good standing.” • There will be a meeting at 7:30 and one at 3:00 in order to accommodate to everyone’s schedules. • You must join at least one committee per year in order to stay in “good standing.” • You must also attend at least two cleanups per year. • Lastly, you must acquire 25 additional service hours by the end of your senior year.

Committees Cont. • At least one committee each year. • More is strongly encouraged. • Committees will have individual monthly meetings. • Committee heads must take attendance at these monthly meetings--no exceptions! • Members may only miss two committee meetings per year in order to stay in good standing. • All committees must have at least two events per year.

Reminders: • Minimum requirements to remain in “good standing”: • TWO Clean-Ups each year • ATLEAST ONE Committee each year • Meeting attendance is required; two absences maximum per year for both meeting types • An additional 25 service hours after induction • Next Clean-up • December 13th, 2012 • 3:00-4:00 • You must stay for the entirety of the cleanup! • Next Meeting: December 19th, 2012 • Ms. Holmes? • Questions?
