  2. Experience / Expertise • PhD in Materials Science and Engineering. Dissertation topic on physical metallurgy. • Expertise on alloy development (steels, refractory metal-base alloys), computational design of materials, materials in extreme environments, solidification processing, microstructure/property relationships, wear of materials, high temperature oxidation. • On-going projects on high temperature materials development utilizing computational and experimental methods. • Pertinent recent publications • First Principles Design of Ductile Refractory Alloys, JOM, 60 (2008), 7, pp. 61-65. • Effect of Al on High Temperature Oxidation of Cr-W Alloys, Oxidation of Metals, 69 (2008), pp. 233-247. • An Examination of Effects of Solidification Parameters on Permeability of a Mushy Zone in Castings, Journal of Materials Science, 43 (2008), pp. 1471-1479.
