Chapt. 2 vocab. • Emotional Health – state of being free from mental disturbances • Thoughts – Conscious state of mental processes • Cortex – outer layer of brain where thoughts occur • Values – Person set of rules for behavior • ??? Where do you learn your values from??? Below write down all the places and people that teach you YOUR values.

  3. EMOTIONS • Status – the rank of where you fit into relations, groups etc. • Emotions – feeling that occurs to a response to an event. Write down some common emotions have • Emotional Intelligence – The ability to recqonize and appropriately express one’s emotions in a way that enhances living.

  4. When Dealing with a Emotion • 1. Recognize the emotion • 2.Own it • 3. Verbalize it • 4. Express it physically • 5. Think about the situation (if negative and persists)
