Notes: • This quarter is based on a low number of observations and should be treated with caution • Totals may not add to 100% due to rounding • Statistical testing (two tailed t-test, 95% confidence) has been conducted to compare each reporting region to the New Zealand average. • Figures in red indicate where the result for that region is significantly higher than the New Zealand average. • Figures in blue indicate where the result for that region is significantly lower than the New Zealand average. • Scale questions are presented here in the form of average scores for ease of interpretation. Detailed data is available on request.

Suggestions for Improvement • Resource Suggestions • Bring back old trade certificate in some form of examination type system - too easy to bluff your way through - need a physical test and semi theory to prove you know what you are doing. • Assessment Suggestions • My guy was mucked about - new guy pretty good but previous guys no good, inconsistency in what they are doing and who they are looking after. • . TA Understanding Suggestions • Limited with dealing with apprentices see advisors occasionally - don't have meetings, more communication.

Part of our format encouraged off site training Unitech, acol, stage 1,2, and 3. • First aid. • Scaffold course in Nelson -. • Book work Polytech at Hamilton when he turns up. • Pre trade course Otago Polytech. • Naenae and Porirua standard night course. • First aid course. • Unitech night course. • We will help any apprentices with dyslexia or any disabilities and help them with the theory. • Block courses. • Night school training but not sure. • Polytech - courses. • Ram set course organised through BCITO.

  5. Why Not? • Never get round to it. • Don't think I have seen one. • I don't read any mail apart from bills.
